About ceremonial cacao

Why YES ceremonial cacao, interview with Deya from Cacao Amor and Cacao Alchemista (who performs cacao ceremonies).
There is a lot of talk about it, but...maybe someone will learn something new.
Â
Why is drinking sacred cacao healthy and beneficial? There are more than 300 reasons! 🙂 Some of the physiological benefits are:
Â
- Cacao has approximately 333 bioactive compounds, making it the most pharmacologically complex food known!
Â
- It is a natural antidepressant so it is beneficial for our nervous system.
Â
- It is a Vasodilator, which means it helps us breathe better, improves blood circulation and delivers more oxygen to the brain, making us more focused.
Â
- Promotes a healthy heart, digestion, lowers blood sugar and is an antioxidant.
Â
Emotional and Spiritual Benefits:
Â
- As mentioned earlier, cacao is a natural antidepressant.
Â
Because it helps open the heart, it can help you release repressed emotions and create space for joy and play.
Â
- Cacao is a gentle, playful and powerful plant spirit that can help us connect with our higher self, nature, and the elements, and aids in all types of meditation and spiritual practices.

It can be drunk daily in smaller doses (10-20 g) per person per cup (150 ml), while the ceremonial dose is 20-42 (or even 44 g) per person per cup. The more difference between "regular" and sacred/ceremonial cacao is also shared on the mentioned website, but the basic point of ceremonial cacao is that it is organically grown and made into a paste using the traditional method. Above all it retains the cacao butter, which contains all the beneficial ingredients of this medicine.
Â
"Regular" cacao, which we get in a regular store, has its cacao butter (at least partially) removed, contains herbicides and pesticides, because it is produced in the classic way. In my opinion, this sacred medicine is one of the most beautiful and in its preparation (personally I prefer preparation only with water, but it is a matter of taste) the most important ingredient is LOVE and GRATITUDE. We also add a pinch of intention for greater support.
Â
If we compare drinking ceremonial cacao with drinking coffee: coffee quickly increases energy. Since it is heavy on the body, the result is that our energy then quickly drops and "crashes" us... and then we need a new dose of coffee to function normally... So we find ourselves in a circle because we consume energy on credit. Drinking coffee is energy on credit. Literally. In addition, it is not natural for us to be at such a high energy level for so long, which consequently leads to us having to be at such a lower energy level for so long, because the body and nature follow, strive for coherence, harmony, balance. It is also not natural for us humans to work and produce as much as it is expected in the Western world and without coffee we would not be able to produce this. But - is this good for us, for our bodies, for our health? Why is there an increasing number of burnout, chronic pain and autoimmune diseases?
Â
Vs. ceremonial cacao which gently supports us, strengthens our nervous system and has a healthy effect on our heart, while at the same time we are gentle with ourselves and others*. Every time I drink cacao I wonder what the world would be like if people drank ceremonial cacao instead of coffee. And I would like to experience such a world. I share with you a few more links - my cacao music playlist and an interview with a friend who does cacao ceremonies (she is from Ecuador).
